"Very lazy day cos i decided to sleep in after mugging/working/running around the last 2 days. Exams are in 2 days and i think the whole freaking university population must be mugging like there's no tomorrow. (That's why i hate the CL. i swear i'll never ever go in again during the exam period). I open my email to find this very heart-wrenching mail about this ex RJC girl with stage 4 cancer. I must say i'm never one who bothered much about social issues and YOUR problems cos i always think things will be ok in the end. But cancer... Reading the email brought back many pleasant and other not-so pleasant memories of NCC and SCS where i worked at last year. Cancer is one of the craziest and most frustrating illnesses EVER. It comes too fast and most of the time, we realize much too late. Not to mention, cancer treatment is extremely costly. I don't know... here we are, complaining about lecturers, stupid exams, having to meet the never-ending project deadlines and just about everything under the freaking sun while there is someone just like you and me fighting for her life out there. I don't really even know how to rationalize everything cos i'm not even doing anything wrong and there I feel like i'm almost enjoying "too much' of my life just being ABLE to complain and swear and be a bitch about things i don't like. i'm almost feeling disgusted at myself suddenly."
