you know how it feels when you feel the need to run home, sit in front of the tv to catch that episode of whichever serial you're madly in love with, only to feel a huge void in your life when the 30 episodes end and there's nothing to watch anymore? sigh...
you know how it feels like to do that for 12 seasons? haha... i do =) and i will do the same when the show's on repeat cos channel 5 has nothing else to air at 2.30am in the morning... sigh... my dear ER. i almost feel like i grew up watching it. I remember my family gathering round the tv at 8pm on wednesday nights waiting for it to come on. After a couple of seasons, it became me and my sis. Somewhere down the line, i was the only one STILL madly in love with it. haha... i was so pissed when channel 5 took it off and deliriously happy when they brought it back on again, granted it was in the wee hours of the morning.
This then explains why i'm still awake at 3.35am =)

Sigh... and people ask me why i sleep so late, don't I have school the following day? Of course I have school. Of course I have readings to do. Of course I need sleep. But i guess i like the night too much. Rather, there is a certain lure about being awake when no one is, being able to do any and everything you want to, and just enjoying the night for what it brings. There's a certain calm lingering, when the air is still and you are alerted to all movements, sounds, and thoughts that were so easy to ignore as you get caught up in the haste to live life. It's a lovely lovely feeling.

So next time you ask me why I sleep at 5am every night... this is why.
