i guess it always takes an incident like this to make everyone wake up and take notice. something big like this always has to happen before you realise you have to treasure the people around you cos you never know if you'll be seeing them tomorrow. something big like this to happen before you can ask yourself what you really want in life and how you're gonna get there because we really don't know what's going to happen in the next minute.

It's just scary how fragile life is, and how things can tragically change in the span of a few minutes.

i was watching the news report and what really struck me was seeing the pictures of the 5 guys at the tent, and the online report caption saying how their bodies were being embalmed so that they can be flown back to singapore. That was when i really thought, hey... that's it, i guess. nothing more to say, they are really gone. and as a fellow rower, i feel the pain. the parents' tears, the heartaches and the rest of the n-team who must be feeling terrible. it's scary.

they died doing what they loved. i hope that's enough for them.
