i was just reading the lect notes from my bimbo module and this is what it said about tanning and being in the sun generally.

"Some people think a tan means good health and looks. Dermatologists know that a tan is a sign of skin damage. A tan does not prevent sun damage, IT IS SUN DAMAGE. Your skin "remembers" all damage; and with every burnt, the skin becomes more damaged.... Too much sun changes the texture of the skin and weakens the skin's ability to snap back after stretching, causing sagging cheeks and deep wrinkles."

but i have to say, the weather the last 2 days have been absolutely fantastic for snoozing, or snuggling up in bed with a good book and hot chocolate. it's so unlike singapore! =p

it was just a normal day like any other. but it was also a day where i learnt how to value money and the importance of treasuring not just people but also the things around you. It was also a day i saw how an unnecessary, senseless and mindless comment can cause much hurt to others. these lessons presented themselves to me in the most subtle ways possible and on the way home, i just got them all.

i feel closer and closer to "the real world" increasingly....

i don't just want to be mediocre.
