In Greek mythology, the Procrustean bed was a torture device, Anyone foolish enough to lie down on it would be forcibly modified to fit its exact dimensions. A person who was smaller than the bed would be painfully stretched and those who were too big would have their body parts amputated. I beg you, Gemini. You need an adaptable niche that will adjust to your unique needs and talents, not a rigid pigeonhole that squeezes and bullies you into assuming its shape.

this almost makes it sound like the world should change for me instead of me adapting to changing situations. muhaha

you know how you always laugh when you see new drivers get stuck parallel parking and have to stop in the middle of the lot and let someone else maneuver the car into the lot?

STOP LAUGHING. cos i'm one of those bimbos/morons/drivers-who-shouldnt-drive. right infront of the prata stall at upper bukit timah too, where every single person must have turned and chuckled! =(

but having said that, i'm never going back to manual cars. driving an auto is like, in my best friend's words - "flying a plane"!
and considering i havent driven since CNY... i'm just glad i didnt crash into anything =)

you know how sometimes you're online but there're no websites you want to see,
you have 50 people on msn but none you really want to talk to,
you have work to be done but that you don't even want to think about,
you have things on your mind and all you want to do is try to sort them out but nothing you do seems to work.

this is one of those times...


mabel wants to live life with a purpose again,
but all she is willing to do now,
is hide under the sheets
and force herself to sleep,
for sleep may bring relief to the mind
and to the thoughts she's been having all these times.
